Escape The Zone (ETZ) is a stealth game I created for my second Final Major Project.
This beta build includes one playable level showcasing core gameplay. Some planned features were removed due to time constraints and technical issues.
The game was built in Unreal Engine 5 on our school's new computers. It follows a character from Texas who works a 9-to-5 job by day and for a secret organization by night. After being kidnapped during an event, he wakes up in an unknown location and must escape without being caught.
The environment was created in Unreal, with assets from Maya and textures from Photoshop. UI was designed in Photopea, and character models and animations were sourced from Mixamo.
The concept was developed before FMP2, starting in January with research, GDD creation, and gameplay testing. Influences include stealth games like République, Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs, FFXV, Call of Duty, and Hitman.
This project was a step up from my previous game. Despite challenges near the end, it was a rewarding and less stressful experience overall.
